Kedarnath – A Sacred Himalayan Pilgrimage Kedarnath is one of the most revered pilgrimage destinations in India, located in the Rudraprayag district of the state of Uttarakhand. Nestled in the majestic Garhwal Himalayas at an altitude of approximately 3,583 meters (11,755 feet) above sea level, Kedarnath is famous for the ancient Kedarnath Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
